Quick answer

We read the public prices on 18 preset sellers' own sites on 11 October 2026. One pack sold for anything from $9 to $199, in two clear lanes: volume shops at $9 to $19 and signature sellers at $69 to $129. Small bundles ran 12% to 33% below the sum of their parts, mobile packs were priced below desktop where sold separately, and price did not follow preset count.

To price Lightroom presets, choose a lane before you choose a number: volume packs at about $9 to $19 backed by a large catalogue, or signature packs at about $69 to $129 with tools and teaching attached. On 11 October 2026 we read the public prices on 18 preset sellers' own sites, and a single pack sold for anything from $9 to $199, so there is no going rate to copy, only a position to pick.

Prices were read on 11 October 2026 from each seller's own storefront: Mastin Labs, Lou & Marks, Wilde Presets, Flourish Presets, The Luxe Lens, Greater Than Gatsby, Bounce Color, Northlandscapes, Katelyn James, Presetpro, Pretty Presets, G-Presets, Meridian Presets, RNI, Noble Presets, Archipelago Presets, DVLOP and Signature Edits. Etsy's listing pages refuse automated requests, so no Etsy prices are in the sample. We have no sales figures for any seller and quote none.

Most pricing advice for presets is a formula with nothing behind it. This page is the opposite: a small, dated sample of what established sellers ask, the method, and what a new seller can and cannot take from it. For the general method of setting a floor, a market band and a ceiling, see our digital product pricing strategy. If the pack itself is not built, start with how to make Lightroom presets to sell.

  • Two lanes, not one market: $9 to $19 and $69 to $129
  • Small bundles: 12% to 33% below the sum of the parts
  • Mobile packs cost less than desktop where sold separately
  • Price followed the seller and the extras, not the preset count

  1. There are two lanes. Five of the 15 US-dollar sellers had a pack under $20. Six had their cheapest pack at $59 or more.
  2. List price and selling price are different numbers. Four sellers showed packs at 70% or more below a displayed list price.
  3. Bundles come in two kinds. A small bundle takes 12% to 33% off. A whole-catalogue bundle is priced as a multiple of one pack.
  4. Mobile is priced below desktop by the sellers who split them, and bundled in by the sellers who do not.
  5. Count does not set price. The most expensive packs held 10 to 40 presets.

Method: what we read and what we did not

We opened the shop or collection page of preset sellers that run their own storefronts and recorded the prices displayed, in the currency displayed. Where a catalogue ran to several pages we read the first. For each seller we noted the cheapest single preset pack, any bundle shown with its parts, and any whole-catalogue offer.

  • Date: 11 October 2026, a single day.
  • Sample: 18 sellers. Fifteen showed a single-pack price in US dollars, one priced in pounds, one in euros, and one showed only a whole-library price. We converted nothing.
  • Selection: sellers we knew of whose pages answered a plain page request. It is not a random sample, and it leans towards established names.
  • Left out: Etsy and one marketplace that refused automated requests, and seller pages that showed no prices.
  • Not measured: sales. A price on a page says what a seller asks, not how often anyone pays it.

The under-$20 group sells collections by theme, in the dozens, with mobile and desktop files in one product. The sellers at $69 and above list a handful of packs each, usually built around a film stock or a named photographer. The middle is held by specialists: a landscape photographer at $29 to $39, a set of AI-assisted collections at $59 to $79.

List price and selling price are different numbers

Four sellers displayed single packs at $9 to $14 next to list prices of $30 to $59, a reduction of 70% or more. Three of them, and a fifth seller, showed whole-catalogue bundles at $97 to $289 next to list prices of $1,087 to $2,900. On the day we looked, the lower figure was the price.

Two things follow. If you benchmark against these shops, benchmark against the selling price, because that is the one a buyer compares yours to. And if you plan to show a list price of your own, know the rule you are working under. In the US, the FTC's guide on former price comparisons treats a comparison as legitimate when the former price is "the actual, bona fide price at which the article was offered to the public on a regular basis for a reasonably substantial period of time". We did not track whether any seller's list price was ever charged, and we make no claim about it. This is general information, not legal advice.

Lightroom preset bundle pricing: the two kinds of bundle

A small bundle is two or three packs, or the mobile and desktop versions of one pack. Where a page showed both the parts and the bundle, the discount was modest.

A whole-catalogue bundle is a different product with different math. It is priced as a multiple of one pack, and the multiple depends on the lane.

SellerOne packEverythingMultiple of one pack
Northlandscapes$35$752.1
Greater Than Gatsby$99$2892.9
Presetpro$39$1393.6
Wilde Presets$9$9710.8
The Luxe Lens$14$28920.6
Lou & Marks$9$19922.1

Premium sellers price everything at two to four packs. Volume shops price it at 10 to 22 packs, which sounds steep until you see what is in it: The Luxe Lens described its $289 bundle as 89 collections. Either way, the bundle only works once there is a catalogue to bundle. With one pack, your bundle is mobile plus desktop.

Mobile presets are priced below desktop, when they are priced apart

Two sellers showed the split plainly. Greater Than Gatsby listed mobile collections at $19 and desktop collections at $99. G-Presets listed mobile packs at $59, desktop packs at $129 and the pair at $165. The volume shops skipped the question and sold both formats as one product at one price. If your buyers edit on phones, the single combined product is the simpler listing, and our guide to selling presets on Etsy shows how to package it.

What the higher-priced packs include

More presets is not what the expensive packs sell. Meridian Presets listed packs of 12 to 32 presets with a toolkit at €99. DVLOP listed a 20-preset pack with modifiers, brushes, mobile presets and education at $199. Noble Presets described its $99 desktop product as one base preset with more than 20 enhancers, a video tutorial, a guide and a community group. At the other end, Presetpro listed 1,200 presets and 1,200 profiles for $139, and FixThePhoto listed dozens of free sets, many labelled as 300 presets or more.

Volume is free. What buyers paid more for, on these pages, was a look tied to a person, the tools to adjust it and help using it.

How much to sell presets for: pick your lane

Two workable positions
Volume lane: about $9 to $19
  • Many themed collections, released often
  • Mobile and desktop files in one product
  • An everything bundle at 10 to 20 packs
  • Needs steady traffic: marketplace search or paid ads
  • Thin margin per sale once fixed fees come off
Signature lane: about $69 to $129
  • A few packs, each a distinct look
  • 10 to 40 presets plus tools, a guide or video
  • Small bundle discounts of 12% to 25%
  • Needs a portfolio and an audience that trusts it
  • Few sales needed, each one harder to win

A seller with no audience and one pack is in neither lane yet. The honest starting point is the lower-middle of the sample, with a plan to move.

Price your first pack in five steps
  1. 1
    Collect your own comparison set

Find five packs aimed at your buyer, in the place you will sell. Write down the selling price, not the list price.

  2. 2
    Check the fee floor

On a $9 pack a plain Etsy sale leaves a US shop $7.69 and a direct Gumroad card sale leaves $7.04. At $5 those are $4.07 and $3.55.

  3. 3
    Set the single-pack price

Start inside your comparison set. Pricing above it needs something the others lack: tools, a guide, or proof on your own photos.

  4. 4
    Add one small bundle

Mobile plus desktop together, or two packs at roughly 15% off. Illustrative: a $19 pack and a two-pack at $32.

  5. 5
Change one thing at a time

Hold the price for a fixed number of visits, then move it one step and compare conversion, not just sales.

For the first three steps, the free digital product pricing calculator takes your cheapest, typical and highest competitor prices, your platform and your build time, and returns a price with the net after fees. The fee figures above come from our Gumroad fees breakdown and Etsy's published schedule, checked October 2026.

The step from one price to a ladder of offers is where a preset shop starts to earn more per buyer. Our Digital Products program has a lesson on pricing and another on upsells, cross-sells and the value ladder, which is the part this sample can only hint at.

Pricing Lightroom presets: FAQ

How should I price Lightroom presets?

Decide which lane you are in before you choose a number. In our October 2026 sample of 18 sellers' own sites, volume shops sold a pack for $9 to $19 from a large catalogue, and signature sellers charged $69 to $129 for a small pack with tools and teaching attached. Price inside the lane your catalogue and audience can support, then check what the platform fees leave.

How much do Lightroom preset packs sell for?

On 11 October 2026 the cheapest single pack on each of 15 US-dollar seller sites ranged from $9 to $199. Five sellers were under $20, four between $20 and $49, four between $50 and $99 and two at $100 or more. Those are the prices displayed that day, promotions included. We have no sales volumes, so this shows what sellers ask, not what sells most.

How much should I discount a preset bundle?

Where sellers in our sample showed both the parts and the bundle, a small bundle was 12% to 33% below the sum of its parts: two Mastin Labs packs for $119 against $69 each, or a G-Presets mobile and desktop pair for $165 against $188. Whole-catalogue bundles are a different product, priced at 2 to 4 packs by premium sellers and 10 to 22 packs by volume shops.

Should mobile presets cost less than desktop presets?

Sellers who split the two priced mobile lower. Greater Than Gatsby showed mobile collections at $19 beside desktop collections at $99, and G-Presets showed mobile packs at $59 beside desktop packs at $129, with both together for $165. Most volume shops did not split them at all and sold mobile and desktop files as one product. Checked 11 October 2026.

Does a pack with more presets sell for a higher price?

Not in our sample. Meridian Presets listed packs of 12 to 32 presets with a toolkit at €99, and DVLOP listed a 20-preset pack with brushes, mobile presets and education at $199. Presetpro listed 1,200 presets and 1,200 profiles for $139. The higher prices sat on small packs with a named photographer, tools and teaching, not on preset count.

Should I show a crossed-out list price next to my sale price?

Several sellers in the sample did, at $9 against a $30 list price. If you do, the US rule to know is the FTC's guide on former price comparisons, which treats a comparison as legitimate when the former price was the actual price offered to the public on a regular basis for a reasonably substantial period. Other countries have their own rules. This is general information, not legal advice.

What do platform fees leave from a low-priced preset pack?

On a $9 pack, a plain Etsy sale leaves a US shop $7.69 after the $0.20 listing fee, 6.5% transaction fee and 3% plus $0.25 processing. A direct Gumroad card sale leaves $7.04 after 10% plus $0.50 and 2.9% plus $0.30. At $5 those become $4.07 and $3.55, which is where fixed fees start to hurt. Checked October 2026.
