Source: Kling's VIDEO 3.0 model guide (published February 6, 2026), which gives 30 credits for a 5-second 720p clip without audio and 60 for 5 seconds at 1080p with native audio. The 4K mode costs 30 credits per second and the plan prices come from Kling's credit cost guide (July 28, 2026); credit expiry, refunds and the $1-for-66-credits top-up price come from its Credits Policy. All checked October 1, 2026. Kling says prices and rules can change, so confirm them on the membership page and in the generation panel before a big project.
- Retries are the biggest unknown. Kling refunds credits only when a generation fails, so a clip you discard still costs its credits. Track your own ratio for a week and update the input.
- Plan credits expire. Subscription credits are valid for one month from issue; purchased credits last two years.
- Other models cost differently. These rates are for Kling VIDEO 3.0; check the generation panel before budgeting another model.

FAQ
How many credits does a Kling video cost?
Kling VIDEO 3.0 charges per second: 6 credits at 720p or 8 at 1080p without native audio, 9 or 12 with native audio, plus 2 for voice control. Kling's 4K mode costs 30 credits per second. A 5-second 720p clip without audio is 30 credits.
How much do Kling AI plans cost?
On monthly billing in October 2026: Standard $8.80 for 660 credits, Pro $32.56 for 3,000, Premier $80.96 for 8,000 and Ultra $159.99 for 26,000, after a discounted first month. Prices and promotions change, so check Kling's membership page.
Do unused Kling credits roll over?
Subscription credits are valid for 1 month from when they are issued. Purchased credits are valid for 2 years, according to Kling's Credits Policy.
Do failed or unusable generations cost credits?
Kling refunds credits only when a generation fails. A clip that renders but isn't usable still costs its credits, which is why the calculator asks how many generations you need per finished clip.
Can I buy extra Kling credits?
Yes. Kling's Credits Policy lists a standard price of $1 for 66 credits, valid for 2 years, with occasional promotions.
