How the quote is worked out
Base = followers / 1,000 x $ per 1K x (1 + engagement adj.) Content fee = sum of deliverables x base x weight Floor = items x (hours x rate + credits) Usage = max(content, floor) x usage % x months Exclusivity = max(content, floor) x excl. % x weeks / 4.345 Quote = max(content, floor) + usage + exclusivity
There is no published rate card for AI personas. The $10 per 1,000 followers starting point is a widely repeated rule of thumb for human Instagram creators, and the usage and exclusivity percentages are typical of the wide ranges quoted by agencies and creators. Treat every default as a starting position for your own numbers.
Not included: agency or platform commission, tax, and payment terms. A quote is an opening position, not a guarantee of what a brand will pay.
FAQ
How much do AI influencers charge per post?
There is no published rate card for AI personas, so anyone quoting a precise average is guessing. Most creators start from the same follower-based rule of thumb human influencers use, often quoted as about $10 per 1,000 followers for a feed post, then adjust for engagement, the deliverable and usage rights. This calculator makes each of those steps visible so you can defend the number in a negotiation.
Should an AI influencer charge less than a human one?
Not automatically. Brands get things a human cannot offer: no travel, fast reshoots, full control of the look and no scheduling risk. What they lose is real-world use of the product and, for some audiences, trust. Price on reach and engagement like anyone else, and make sure the price never falls below what the content costs you to produce.
What is the AI production floor?
It is what one package costs you to make: hours for generation, editing, approval rounds and revisions times your hourly rate, plus generation credits. If the follower-based price comes out lower, small AI accounts can end up working for less than their costs. The calculator charges whichever is higher.
How do usage rights work?
Posting on your account is the base fee. If the brand reuses the content on its own channels, or runs it as paid ads through whitelisting or Partnership Ads, that is usage, charged per 30 days on top. Quoted rates vary widely, from around 15% to 100% of the base fee per month, so the defaults here are editable starting points.
How much should exclusivity cost?
Exclusivity stops you working with a brand's competitors for a period, which costs you deals. Quotes range from a small percentage to the full base fee per month. The calculator defaults to 25% of the content fee per month of exclusivity; raise it if the category is one you get many offers in.
Do AI influencers need to disclose sponsorships and AI?
Yes, both. Paid posts need a clear paid-partnership disclosure under FTC rules in the US and similar rules elsewhere, and Instagram's paid partnership label. Meta also requires an AI label on photorealistic AI content. Build disclosure into the deal terms so the brand knows it will be there.
