You can use AI on OnlyFans only as an addition to a real, verified creator. OnlyFans allows content generated, altered or enhanced by AI when it clearly features the verified creator and is labelled, for example with #ai. Its creator guide lists wholly AI-generated accounts and content among things that cannot be shared, and creators may not integrate AI chatbots. A fully synthetic persona does not fit those rules; Fanvue's published rules accept one.
Short answer: you can use AI on OnlyFans only as an addition to a real, verified creator. AI-generated, altered or enhanced content is allowed when it clearly features the verified creator and is labelled as AI. A fully AI-generated persona is not accepted, and you may not connect an AI chatbot to the platform. Those three sentences are OnlyFans' own rules, quoted below with the page each comes from and the date on it.
Read 13 October 2026 on OnlyFans' own public pages, with no login: the help centre answers Can I post AI content on OnlyFans?, What content can I post on OnlyFans? A Creator's Guide to Content Moderation and Can I use an AI chatbot on OnlyFans?, the Terms of Use (last updated August 2024), the Acceptable Use Policy (last updated September 2025), the Content Moderation Policy (last updated May 2026) and the Age and Identity Verification page. Fanvue's wording is from its help centre and Community Guidelines, read the same day. OnlyFans and Fanvue are 18+ platforms that check a creator's identity before the account can earn. This page is a reading of published policy for adults running a business, not legal advice, and the platform's pages win wherever they and this page differ. I run a creator management agency, so I read these rules as working documents; what follows quotes them and adds nothing from that work. One rule applies on every platform: a persona must be a fictional adult who reads as an adult, must never use a real person's face, name or likeness without written permission, and must be disclosed as AI where the platform requires it. Nothing involving minors or a youthful appearance, ever.
Can you use AI on OnlyFans? The answer by use
"AI" covers several different jobs, and OnlyFans treats them differently. This table sorts them by what the published wording says.
| What you want to do | Status | The wording it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| AI retouching or enhancement of content that shows you | Allowed, labelled | Content "generated, altered, or enhanced by AI" may be shared if "it clearly features the verified Creator" and the viewer can tell. |
| An AI-generated image of you, the verified creator | Allowed by the wording, labelled | The same rule covers generated content that clearly features the verified creator. The guide also removes wholly AI-generated content where identity cannot be verified, so expect scrutiny. |
| A fully synthetic persona with no real creator in it | Not accepted | Cannot be shared: "accounts or content that are wholly AI-generated". |
| An AI image of another real person | Banned | The Acceptable Use Policy bans "Any explicit image of another person without their consent including an artificially generated image." |
| A chatbot connected to your account | Not permitted | Creators "may not directly integrate AI chat bots into the OnlyFans platform". |
| Drafting a caption or reply with an outside AI tool, then posting it yourself | Not addressed | OnlyFans' public pages say nothing on this. Direct messages can be moderated like any other content. |
| AI-generated voice | Not addressed | No public page mentions it. The general AI rule and the verified-creator rule would still apply to the content. |
- An account or content that is wholly AI-generated
- Heavily altered images where the creator cannot be identified
- An AI-generated image of another person without consent
- AI content with no label the viewer can see
- An AI chatbot integrated into the platform
- Misleading descriptions of media or of the account
- AI-enhanced or AI-altered content that clearly features you
- AI-generated content of you, the verified creator
- A caption signifier such as #ai or #AIGenerated
- Content that also follows the Acceptable Use Policy
The OnlyFans AI content rule, quoted
The rule is one help centre answer, three bullet points long. It opens: "All content posted on OnlyFans must belong to a verified Creator." It then says you can only share content that has been generated, altered, or enhanced by AI if:
- "it clearly features the verified Creator;"
- the user can tell that the content has been generated, altered, or enhanced by AI, for which it says the easiest way is to include the hashtag #ai; and
- "it is in keeping with our Terms of Service including our Acceptable Use Policy."
The Terms of Use carry the labelling rule in contract form: "AI Generated content must comply with our Terms of Service and must be clearly and conspicuously captioned as AI Generated Content with a signifier such as #ai, or #AIGenerated." It sits in the same clause as the #ad rule for sponsored posts, which tells you how OnlyFans thinks about it: as a transparency label on each item, not a category of account.
The first bullet is the one that decides everything for a persona. AI is permitted on content that features the person who passed the identity check. It is not permitted as a replacement for that person.
Are AI models allowed on OnlyFans?
Not fully synthetic ones. The creator guide to content moderation lists reasons content is removed, and the second reads: content that "features a creator whose identity we cannot verify, including accounts or content that are wholly AI-generated, or features heavily altered images". An AI persona has no identity to verify, so it falls on the wrong side of that line by definition.
The identity checks behind the rule are heavy and they repeat. The Age and Identity Verification page says a creator must provide "at least 9 pieces of personally identifying information and documents" before posting, among them a government photo ID, a standalone selfie and a selfie holding the ID. After that, "All Creator accounts are subject to secondary "selfie checks" on a rolling 45-day cycle", and a creator who fails one loses access to the account while moderators review it. The stated purpose is to confirm that the person using the account matches the one who opened it.
- 01A real person opens the account
ID, selfies and at least 9 items of information.
- 02Content must feature that person
AI content has to clearly feature the verified creator.
- 03A synthetic face features nobody
There is no verified creator in the image.
- 04Moderation
Wholly AI-generated content is listed as not shareable.
- 05Selfie checks repeat
A rolling 45-day cycle on every creator account.
Two shortcuts people try are covered by the same pages. Using another real person's likeness is banned outright: the Acceptable Use Policy prohibits "Any explicit image of another person without their consent including an artificially generated image." And describing a synthetic account as something else runs into the line that prohibits "Inaccurate information including misleading descriptions of media or account information."
OnlyFans AI chatbot rules
The whole answer is two sentences: "OnlyFans does not offer an internal AI chatbot tool for Creators." and "OnlyFans does not have a public facing API and Creators may not directly integrate AI chat bots into the OnlyFans platform." There is no built-in AI reply tool and no approved way to plug in your own.
Three related points come from other pages:
- Messages are moderated. The creator guide says all content "can be moderated by our team, including direct messages between you and your fans".
- Help from other people does not move the responsibility. The Terms of Use say: "If you are a Creator and someone else assists you with the operation of your Creator account, this does not affect your legal responsibility."
- Drafting off the platform is not addressed. OnlyFans does not publish a rule on writing a reply with an outside AI tool and sending it yourself. Silence is not permission; the misleading-information rule and the labelling rule still apply to what you send.
Where each rule is written, and when it was last dated
OnlyFans dates its policies by month and year only and has no public changelog, so there is no way to say on which day a line was added. Its help centre answers carry no date at all. This is the full set this page rests on:

What OnlyFans does not publish is worth listing too: no definition of how much editing makes an image "heavily altered", nothing on AI-generated voice, nothing on AI-drafted text you send yourself, and no announcement trail for changes. Where the pages are silent, this page does not guess.
What this means if you run an AI persona
It depends on which of two businesses you are in.
You appear in your own content. You are the verified creator, and AI is a tool you use on your own image. The rules allow that. Label each item, keep edits light enough that you are plainly recognisable, and expect the 45-day selfie check to compare the account with your face.
Your persona is fully generated. OnlyFans' published rules do not accept the account, and the answer is not to disguise it. Disguising it means misdescribing the account, which is a breach on its own, on top of the AI rule. The honest options are a platform whose rules accept AI creators, or a business model that does not need a subscription page at all, such as brand work and digital products. Our AI influencer monetization guide lays those out.
- The verified creator is clearly the person in the content
- The caption carries #ai or #AIGenerated where a viewer will see it
- No other real person appears, in whole or in part, without verified consent
- The description of the media and of the account is accurate
- Nobody in the content is, or appears to be, under 18
- No chatbot or script is connected to the account
- Anyone who helps run the account knows the same rules bind them
OnlyFans vs Fanvue for an AI persona
Fanvue is the comparison most readers want, because its rules start from the opposite premise. Its help centre says "AI creators are a fully recognised and verified category on Fanvue." and that every AI creator has an AI tag displayed in the profile bio. The conditions are in section D of its Community Guidelines, updated 12 October 2026: "All AI-generated media must include a clear and prominent disclosure", and "AI-generated individuals must not resemble minors".
| Question | OnlyFans | Fanvue |
|---|---|---|
| A fully AI-generated persona | Not accepted: wholly AI-generated accounts cannot be shared | Accepted: "AI creators are a fully recognised and verified category on Fanvue." |
| Labelling | A caption signifier such as #ai or #AIGenerated on each item | A clear disclosure on all AI media, and an AI tag in the profile bio |
| Who is verified | The creator, who must also be the person the content features | The human who runs the account, even if their face never appears |
| Built-in AI chat tools | None: "OnlyFans does not offer an internal AI chatbot tool for Creators." | AI Messaging and AI-drafted automated messages |
| Platform fee | 20% of each fan payment | 20% of gross revenue at the standard rate |
Fanvue still verifies a human. The person who runs an AI account submits a government ID and a selfie even if their face never appears, so the persona can be fictional but the operator cannot be anonymous to the platform. The full side-by-side, with fees, payout terms and every source, is on our Fanvue vs OnlyFans comparison, and Fanvue's rules are read line by line in the Fanvue AI content policy explainer. If Patreon is on your list too, see Fanvue vs OnlyFans vs Patreon for AI creators.
If Fanvue is the route, the setup is covered step by step in how to start an AI model on Fanvue, its chat tools in Fanvue AI messaging tools and rules, and the likeness questions behind all of it in our guide to AI likeness rights. The AI Influencers program picks up where policy stops, with the lessons on creating the persona, keeping the face consistent and setting the platform up.
AI on OnlyFans: FAQ
Can you use AI on OnlyFans?
Yes, in a limited way. OnlyFans says content that has been generated, altered or enhanced by AI can be shared only if it clearly features the verified creator, the viewer can tell AI was involved, and it follows the Terms of Service. In practice that means AI as an edit or enhancement of your own content, labelled with a tag such as #ai. Read 13 October 2026.
Does OnlyFans allow fully AI-generated models?
No, on its published rules. The creator guide to content moderation lists, among content that cannot be shared, anything that features a creator whose identity OnlyFans cannot verify, "including accounts or content that are wholly AI-generated". A synthetic persona with no real, verified creator in the image cannot meet the requirement that AI content clearly features the verified creator.
Do I have to label AI content on OnlyFans?
Yes. The Terms of Use say AI generated content "must be clearly and conspicuously captioned as AI Generated Content with a signifier such as #ai, or #AIGenerated". The help centre says the easiest way to make sure a viewer can tell is to include the hashtag #ai. Without it you are in breach of the Terms of Service and risk the content and the account being deactivated.
Can I use an AI chatbot on OnlyFans?
Not one that is connected to the platform. The help centre says "OnlyFans does not offer an internal AI chatbot tool for Creators", that it has no public facing API, and that creators "may not directly integrate AI chat bots into the OnlyFans platform". Its public pages do not address a creator who drafts a reply with an outside tool and then types or pastes it in.
Can I use AI to edit or enhance my own OnlyFans photos?
Yes, if the result still clearly shows you and is labelled. The rule covers content that is "generated, altered, or enhanced by AI", so retouching counts. The same guide says OnlyFans removes content that "features heavily altered images" where it cannot verify the creator, and it does not define how much alteration is too much, so keep edits light enough that you remain recognisable.
What happens if I post AI content that breaks the rules?
The content can be deactivated, and the account with it. The Content Moderation Policy, last updated May 2026, lists the steps OnlyFans may take: deactivate the content, issue a warning or a final warning, suspend or deactivate the account, or ban the user. A decision can be appealed with the Deactivation Appeal Form.
Which subscription platform allows AI personas?
Fanvue is a subscription platform whose published rules accept them. Its help centre says "AI creators are a fully recognised and verified category on Fanvue", with a clear disclosure on all AI media, an AI tag in the bio and an identity check on the human who runs the account. Both platforms are for adults only and both verify who is behind an account.
