Fanvue builds AI into its chat: AI Messaging drafts, replies to and rewrites messages, automated messages fire on triggers, and its site lists AI Voice Notes and AI Voice Calls. An AI creator account carries an AI tag in the bio, and a persona may not tell fans it is a real person in posts or chats. Fanvue's contract lets creators use assistants in chat, through an invited account that cannot reach payouts. Your own chatbot is not supported.
Fanvue builds AI into its chat. AI Messaging drafts, replies to and rewrites messages, automated messages fire on triggers, and the site lists AI Voice Notes and AI Voice Calls. The rules that go with them are short: an AI creator account carries an AI tag, a persona may never tell a fan it is a real person, and whoever presses send, you, a helper or a tool, the account owner answers for the message. This page sets out each tool, each rule and the gaps Fanvue leaves unpublished.
Checked 13 October 2026 against Fanvue's own pages: the help centre articles AI Messaging, AI Messaging: Reply Faster, Chat Smarter (17 August 2026), Automated Messages, Mass Messaging (11 August 2026), How do I know if a creator is AI? (3 August 2026), What is an AI-Generated model?, Using Manager Accounts, How to Manage Payout Options (21 August 2026) and Request API keys; the fanvue.com home page and the Fanvue blog post What is Fanvue? (5 January 2026); and the legal documents Community Guidelines (12 October 2026), Acceptable Use Policy (25 September 2026), General Terms (21 September 2026), Standard Contract Between Fan and Creator (14 June 2026) and API Access and Usage Policy (5 February 2026). Fanvue is an 18+ platform that checks the identity of every creator, and this page is for adults running a persona as a business. It covers tools and rules, not what to say in a conversation. I run a creator management agency, so chat is the side of this business I see every day; the facts below are Fanvue's published ones, not mine. One rule sits above the rest: a persona must be a fictional adult who reads as an adult, must never use a real person's face, name, voice or likeness without written permission, and must be disclosed as AI. Nothing involving minors or a youthful appearance, ever.
Fanvue's built-in AI messaging tools
Fanvue documents some of these in its help centre and others only on its marketing pages. The third column shows which, because it tells you how much is known.
| Tool | What Fanvue says it does | Where it is described |
|---|---|---|
| AI Messaging: Rewrite | Polishes a message you have already written. You review it and press send. | Help centre: AI Messaging |
| AI Messaging: Generation | Drafts a new message from scratch, including a priced one. | AI Messaging: Reply Faster, Chat Smarter (17 August 2026) |
| AI Messaging: Reply | Drafts a response to what a fan just sent. Rolling out gradually. | Same article |
| Creator Personality | Tone, interests and communication style that every AI feature draws on. | Same article |
| Creator Agent | Analyses your stats and gives advice in chat. Fanvue says it can also schedule posts, set up automations and message fans. | Same article |
| AI Chat Summaries | A brief of a conversation: context, content shared, earnings and suggested next moves. | Same article |
| Automated messages | Sent on a trigger such as a follow, a subscription, a renewal or a cancellation. Written by you or drafted with AI. | Automated messages; Mass messaging guide (11 August 2026) |
| Template Messages | A searchable panel of saved messages beside the chat. | Mass messaging guide |
| AI Voice Notes | Voice replies without recording each one. No help article. | fanvue.com; Fanvue blog (5 January 2026) |
| AI Voice Calls | Voice experiences without the creator being live. No help article. | fanvue.com; Fanvue blog (5 January 2026) |
AI Messaging is the centre of it. The older help article describes one button: write your message, select Rewrite, review the result and send. The newer one, dated 17 August 2026, opens by saying "AI Messaging is more than a rewrite tool" and adds two modes that write for you. It also gives a usage figure: "About 1 in 4 creators who message fans use AI assistance".
- 01Creator Personality
Set once under Creator Tools: tone, interests, style.
- 02A fan writes
A chat summary gives the history at a glance.
- 03AI drafts
Generation, Reply or Rewrite produces a draft.
- 04A person reviews
You, or a team member you invited, edit it.
- 05Send
The message goes out under the persona's name.
- 06Moderation
Chat is content, and content is moderated.
Two conditions are attached. Availability: Fanvue says AI Messaging "is designed for NSFW creators", is switched on automatically for accounts marked that way at signup, and has to be requested from support otherwise. And setup: Fanvue asks you to fill in Creator Personality first, because every AI feature draws on it.
The Creator Agent is the tool to read most carefully. Fanvue describes it as a coach that analyses your stats, then says it can "take direct action: scheduling posts, setting up automations, messaging fans". The help centre does not say what a fan sees when the Agent sends a message, or whether each action needs your approval. Until Fanvue publishes that, treat anything it sends as if you typed it.
Automated messages and mass messages
Automated messages are the oldest of these tools and the simplest. Fanvue's settings article says they "allow you to send pre-set messages to fans based on specific interactions they have with your profile", and that you can "generate a message with AI, with the option to edit it before saving, or write your own from scratch". Images, files and voice notes can be attached. The triggers Fanvue names are a new follower, a new subscriber, a renewal and a cancellation.
Mass messages go to a List in one send. Fanvue fills seven Lists automatically, from Subscribers and Followers to Expired Subscribers and Spent more than $50, and says of frequency, "There's no official limit." Paid media sent this way is covered in our Fanvue PPV pricing guide.
AI Voice Notes and AI Voice Calls: what is and is not published
Fanvue's home page lists AI Voice Calls and AI Voice Notes among its features, and its help centre lists voice calls and voice notes among the ways creators earn. The fullest description is a Fanvue blog post dated 5 January 2026: AI Voice Notes "enable you to communicate with your fans in voice without spending hours recording one-to-one replies", and AI Voice Calls "let you offer voice-based experiences to fans without needing to be live for each interaction".
That is where the public record stops. A search of the help centre on 13 October 2026 returned no article on setting up either feature. Fanvue does not publish, on its public pages, how a voice is created for these tools, what a call or note costs a fan, which creators have access, or how a fan is told a voice is synthetic.
What fans must be told
Fanvue's disclosure rules work at three levels: the account, the media and the conversation.
| Rule | What Fanvue says | Source |
|---|---|---|
| AI creators are labelled | "Every AI creator has an AI tag displayed in their profile bio." | Help centre: how do I know if a creator is AI? (3 August 2026) |
| Chat and voice count | An AI creator is an account where the content, "photos, videos, chat messages, or sometimes voice", is generated by AI. | Same article |
| No claim to be real | You "cannot tell fans that you are a real person in posts and chats". | Help centre: what is an AI-generated model? |
| AI media is disclosed | A clear and prominent disclosure, by "watermark, caption, accompanying message or bio statement". The definition of AI-generated media includes synthetic audio. | Community Guidelines, definitions and section D |
| Nothing is passed off as live | Content must not be "falsely depicting live interactions". | Acceptable Use Policy 2.3 |
| Tool output is your content | Content generated by Fanvue's integrated AI tools is treated as user content once generated. | General Terms 10.3 |
| Helpers are allowed | Fans acknowledge that "Creators may engage assistants or third parties in operating the Creators Account and Creator-Fan Interactions". | Standard Contract Between Fan and Creator 4.2 |
| No bots or scripts | No accounts controlled by automated means, and no bots or automated scripts to interact with the platform. | General Terms, sections 2 and 11 |
The account. Fanvue's help centre says it "is required by law to clearly label AI creator accounts" and tells fans to check a creator's bio before subscribing. It also says it will not refund a fan on the grounds that a creator is AI when the label was visible at the time.
The conversation. The rule is in one sentence from Fanvue's article on AI-generated models: you "cannot tell fans that you are a real person in posts and chats". It applies to a saved welcome message, to a draft from AI Messaging and to a reply typed by a helper. The only compliant answer to "are you real?" is the true one.
What is not written. Fanvue's public pages do not state a rule requiring a label on each AI-assisted text message, and they do not say whether a human creator must tell fans that AI helped draft a reply. This page does not fill that gap with a guess. The safe reading for an AI persona is that the account-level label is the minimum and honesty in chat is mandatory. The full policy is in our Fanvue AI content policy explainer.
- Saying or implying the persona is a real person
- Describing recorded media as happening live
- A cloned voice of a real person without documented consent
- An invented emergency to prompt a tip
- Moving the conversation or the payment off the platform
- An outside bot or script running the inbox
- An AI tag on the bio and a disclosure on AI media
- A draft from AI Messaging that a person reads before sending
- An automated welcome message that stays honest
- A helper invited through Settings, Management
- The true answer when a fan asks if the persona is real
- A persona voice that is synthetic and yours to use
Using human chat staff on Fanvue
Fanvue allows it and says so in the contract every fan accepts. The Standard Contract Between Fan and Creator has fans acknowledge that "Creators may engage assistants or third parties in operating the Creators Account and Creator-Fan Interactions". A fan on Fanvue has agreed that the person typing may not be the creator.
The mechanism matters, because the General Terms also say you must not "Share your password or give access to your Account to others". The supported route is an invitation. From Settings, Management, a creator invites a Manager Account by email, and that account can add team members, which Fanvue also calls chatters. What each can reach is limited:
| Who | Can reach | Cannot reach |
|---|---|---|
| You, the creator | Everything | Nothing is closed to you. Only you can add, change or remove payout methods. |
| Manager Account | Several creator profiles from one login, by your invitation | Payouts, the account's email and password, and deleting the account |
| Team member | Main feed, messages, and the Vault with limited permissions | Publishing content, deleting or posting from the Vault, and everything a Manager Account cannot do |
Fanvue says a team member's "role is limited to chatting and content review". Two details are easy to miss. By default a team member can reach every creator profile under the Manager Account they were added to, so separate personas that should stay separate need separate Manager Accounts. And the money is fenced off twice: a Manager Account cannot access payouts, and Fanvue's payout article says the bank account name must match your verified name.
- Never say or imply the persona is a real person
- Never describe recorded media as live
- Never promise content the Vault does not hold
- Never take payment or the conversation off Fanvue
- Never arrange, offer or hint at meeting in person
- Never invent a crisis or emergency to ask for a tip
- Check what a fan has already bought before sending paid media
- Read every AI draft before it is sent
Every item on that list is a Fanvue rule. The Acceptable Use Policy bans arranging in-person meetings, the Creator Terms ban off-platform payment, and Fanvue's tipping guide says "Don't use fake or exaggerated emergencies to pressure fans into tipping." Warnings land on the account, and the account is yours.
Your own chatbot, the API and the App Store
A bot of your own is not a supported route. Fanvue's help centre says "Currently, Fanvue does not offer API keys for general use", and that a request puts you on a waiting list with no timeline. The General Terms forbid accounts "controlled by other automated means" and the use of bots or automated scripts to interact with the platform, and the Acceptable Use Policy forbids sending more requests than a human could reasonably produce in a browser.
An API does exist. The API Access and Usage Policy lists chat operations among what an approved key can do, including sending messages and mass messages, and says access "may be limited to whitelisted or approved users during rollout". The policy warns creators never to create an application at the instruction of another person or service.
- 1Check the label
View the profile logged out. The AI tag and the bio disclosure should both show.
- 2Fill in Creator Personality
Tone, interests and style, written as the persona and with no claim to be human.
- 3Write the welcome messages yourself first
One for followers, one for subscribers. Edit any AI draft before saving.
- 4Decide the answer to "are you real?"
Write it down. It is the truth, in the persona's voice.
- 5Use Rewrite before Generation
Learn what the tool does to your own words before it writes for you.
- 6Invite help through Settings, Management
Never by sharing your login. Hand over the chat rules with the invitation.
- 7Review a sample of sent messages weekly
Yours, the tools' and any helper's, against the list above.
How this compares with other platforms
Fanvue is unusual in building these tools in. OnlyFans says the opposite in its help centre, read the same day: "OnlyFans does not offer an internal AI chatbot tool for Creators." The two sets of rules are side by side on our Fanvue vs OnlyFans comparison and explained in can you use AI on OnlyFans?
If the account is not open yet, start with how to start an AI model on Fanvue. Voice and likeness questions are in our guide to AI likeness rights, and the platform as a whole is in the Fanvue review. What the conversation is for is taught in the AI Influencers program, whose chatting lessons cover chat revenue models, AI chat assistants, working with chat operators and retention.
Fanvue AI messaging: FAQ
Does Fanvue have a built-in AI chat tool?
Yes. AI Messaging sits under Messaging and has three modes, according to Fanvue's article dated 17 August 2026: Generation drafts a new message, Reply drafts a response to what a fan sent, and Rewrite polishes a message you wrote. Fanvue says Reply is rolling out gradually and may not be available to all creators. Automated messages can also be drafted with AI.
Do I have to tell fans that an AI is involved?
For an AI creator, yes, at account level. Fanvue says every AI creator has an AI tag in the profile bio, and its definition of an AI creator covers chat messages and voice as well as photos and video. A creator with an AI model cannot tell fans in posts or chats that they are a real person. Fanvue's public pages do not state a rule requiring a label on each AI-assisted message.
Can someone else answer my Fanvue messages for me?
Yes, within Fanvue's own feature. Its standard contract has fans acknowledge that creators may engage assistants or third parties in operating the account and in creator and fan interactions. Access is given by invitation from Settings, Management, to a Manager Account that can add team members. Team members can use the feed, messages and a limited view of the Vault, and cannot publish content or touch payouts.
Can I connect my own chatbot to Fanvue?
Not as a general matter. Fanvue's help centre says it does not offer API keys for general use and that requests join a waiting list. Its General Terms ban bots, scrapers and automated scripts, and accounts controlled by automated means, and the Acceptable Use Policy bans sending more requests than a human could reasonably produce in a browser. The built-in tools are the supported route.
What are Fanvue AI Voice Notes and AI Voice Calls?
They are two features Fanvue lists on its home page. Its blog post of 5 January 2026 says AI Voice Notes let a creator communicate in voice without recording each reply, and AI Voice Calls offer voice experiences without the creator being live. Fanvue's help centre has no article on setting them up, pricing them or labelling them, so those details are not public.
Is Fanvue AI Messaging available to every creator?
No. Fanvue says AI Messaging is designed for creators whose accounts were marked as NSFW at signup, for whom it is switched on automatically. A creator whose account was not marked that way has to contact support to have it adjusted. Before using it, Fanvue recommends filling in Creator Personality under Creator Tools, which every AI feature draws on.
Can an AI persona say it is a real person in chat?
No. Fanvue's article on AI-generated models says you must disclose that your model is AI in your bio and cannot tell fans that you are a real person in posts and chats. It adds that you should always be transparent and never deceive users. The same answer binds anyone who helps with the chat and any message a tool drafts for you.
