Kling AI plans and prices
Every paid Kling plan is the same product with a bigger monthly credit pool. The price per credit falls as the pool grows, and the first month is discounted on all four.
| Plan | First month | Monthly renewal | Yearly | Credits a month | Per 100 credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $0 | $0 | n/a | None listed | n/a |
| Standard | $6.99 | $8.80 | $79.20 | 660 | $1.33 |
| Pro | $25.99 | $32.56 | $293.04 | 3,000 | $1.09 |
| Premier | $64.99 | $80.96 | $728.64 | 8,000 | $1.01 |
| Ultra | $127.99 | $159.99 | $1,429.99 | 26,000 | $0.62 |
"Per 100 credits" is Kling's own figure at the monthly renewal price. On yearly billing our division gives about $1.00, $0.81, $0.76 and $0.46. All paid plans list 1080p generation, watermark removal, fast-track generation, video extension and commercial use. The free Basic plan lists none of those, no monthly credits, and output that is not for commercial use.
- $0.40 on Standard and $0.18 on Ultra, at renewal prices
- 40 credits at 1080p; 60 at 1080p with native audio
- 150 credits in 4K mode

Kling credits cost per second, by model
Kling charges per second of video, and the rate depends on the model, the resolution, and whether the clip has native audio or a video reference.
| Model and mode | Credits per second, 720p | Credits per second, 1080p |
|---|---|---|
| VIDEO 3.0, no native audio | 6 | 8 |
| VIDEO 3.0, native audio | 9 | 12 |
| VIDEO 3.0, voice control add-on | +2 | +2 |
| VIDEO 3.0 Omni, no video input, no audio | 6 | 8 |
| VIDEO 3.0 Omni, no video input, native audio | 9 | 12 |
| VIDEO 3.0 Omni, with video input, no audio | 12 | 16 |
| VIDEO 3.0 series, 4K mode | 30 at 4K | 30 at 4K |
| Kling 4.0 and 4.0 Flash | Not published | Not published |
Two things to notice. Native audio adds half again to the rate, so turn it on only for clips that speak. And feeding VIDEO 3.0 Omni a reference video doubles the silent rate, which matters if you build character elements from footage. Kling's guides give no credit rate for Kling 4.0 or 4.0 Flash; our Kling 4.0 page tracks the rollout.
Cost per video on each plan
Multiply the rate by the seconds, then by the plan's price per credit. This table does it for the clips persona accounts make most, at monthly renewal prices and one generation per clip.
| VIDEO 3.0 clip | Credits | Standard | Pro | Premier | Ultra |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 720p, no audio, 5 s | 30 | $0.40 | $0.33 | $0.30 | $0.18 |
| 720p, no audio, 10 s | 60 | $0.80 | $0.65 | $0.61 | $0.37 |
| 1080p, no audio, 5 s | 40 | $0.53 | $0.43 | $0.40 | $0.25 |
| 1080p, no audio, 10 s | 80 | $1.07 | $0.87 | $0.81 | $0.49 |
| 1080p, native audio, 5 s | 60 | $0.80 | $0.65 | $0.61 | $0.37 |
| 1080p, native audio, 10 s | 120 | $1.60 | $1.30 | $1.21 | $0.74 |
| Omni 1080p with video input, 5 s | 80 | $1.07 | $0.87 | $0.81 | $0.49 |
| 4K, 5 s | 150 | $2.00 | $1.63 | $1.52 | $0.92 |

One correction to Kling's own marketing. Its plan table says 660 credits is "33 720p videos", which is 20 credits each. VIDEO 3.0 charges 30 credits for a 5-second 720p clip, so on the current model Standard covers 22 of them, or five 10-second 1080p clips with audio.
How to use the Kling credit calculator
- 1Pick resolution and audio
The credits-per-second field fills in with Kling's rate. Edit it if you use another model.
- 2Set the clip length
Three to fifteen seconds, the VIDEO 3.0 range.
- 3Enter tries per usable clip
Your honest average. Rejected takes still cost credits.
- 4Enter usable clips per month
Count what you post, not what you generate.
- 5Choose a plan
Price and credits are pre-filled at the monthly rate and can be edited for yearly billing.
- 6Read the result
Credits for your month, how many usable clips the plan covers, and the same clip priced in top-up credits.
A worked example
Take an illustrative persona account that posts 20 finished 5-second 1080p clips a month without native audio and keeps one take in three.
- One generation is 8 credits times 5 seconds: 40 credits.
- Three tries per usable clip makes 120 credits a clip, about $1.30 on Pro.
- Twenty clips need 2,400 credits for the month.
- Pro's 3,000 credits cover it, with room for five more clips.
- Standard's 660 would leave 1,740 credits to buy at 66 per $1, about $26. That makes $35 in total, more than Pro's $32.56.
The lesson generalises: the retake rate triples the sticker price, and once top-ups exceed the gap to the next plan, the bigger plan is cheaper.
Which Kling plan fits your posting volume
Pick the plan from usable clips per month, not from the credit count. This table assumes three tries per usable clip, an illustrative ratio you should replace with your own.
| Usable clips a month, at three tries each | Standard | Pro | Premier | Ultra |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 s, 720p, no audio (90 credits) | 7 | 33 | 88 | 288 |
| 5 s, 1080p, no audio (120 credits) | 5 | 25 | 66 | 216 |
| 10 s, 1080p, native audio (360 credits) | 1 | 8 | 22 | 72 |
Read across the row for your format. A persona that posts three short clips a week needs about 13 usable clips a month, which is past Standard at any resolution and comfortably inside Pro. Daily posting with talking clips is Premier territory. Ultra is priced for teams, or for one operator running several personas from a single account.
Standard still has a job: it is the cheapest way to get 1080p, clean downloads and commercial-use terms for a month while you measure your own retake rate.
Kling API pricing by model version
Developers pay per second through resource packages instead of a membership. Kling's API pricing table lists these rates; the clip columns are our multiplication.
| Model and mode | Per second, 720p | Per second, 1080p | 5 s / 10 s at 720p | 5 s / 10 s at 1080p |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kling 3.0, no native audio | $0.084 | $0.112 | $0.42 / $0.84 | $0.56 / $1.12 |
| Kling 3.0, native audio | $0.126 | $0.168 | $0.63 / $1.26 | $0.84 / $1.68 |
| Kling 3.0 Turbo, native audio | $0.112 | $0.14 | $0.56 / $1.12 | $0.70 / $1.40 |
| Kling 3.0 Omni, no video input, no audio | $0.084 | $0.112 | $0.42 / $0.84 | $0.56 / $1.12 |
| Kling O1, no video input | $0.084 | $0.112 | $0.42 / $0.84 | $0.56 / $1.12 |
| Kling 2.6, no native audio | $0.042 | $0.07 | $0.21 / $0.42 | $0.35 / $0.70 |
| Kling 2.5 Turbo, no native audio | $0.042 | $0.07 | $0.21 / $0.42 | $0.35 / $0.70 |
The older 2.6 and 2.5 Turbo models cost half as much as 3.0 at 720p, and Kling 3.0 in 4K is $0.42 a second. The table does not list Kling 4.0. A silent 5-second 720p clip on the API costs $0.42, close to the $0.40 it costs on a Standard membership.
Unlimited Kling: read the terms first
Kling does not sell an unlimited plan. Every tier on its plan table is a credit pool, including Ultra. The "unlimited Kling" you see advertised comes from platforms that resell Kling models inside their own subscriptions, and the best-known is Higgsfield.
- Credit pool every month, no unlimited tier
- Pro: $32.56 a month for 3,000 credits
- A 5-second 720p clip: 30 credits, about $0.33 on Pro
- Element Library, Omni and Multi-Shot in the native app
- Priority access to new features on Pro and above
- Kling 3.0 listed as "7-day unlimited"
- Plus: $49 a month, or $39 billed annually, for 1,000 credits
- After the window: about 7 credits per 5-second 720p clip
- Unlimited runs in the standard queue; speed can vary
- Many other video and image models on one balance
Source: Kling credit cost guide; Higgsfield pricing page and help center, checked October 2026
The disclosure that matters is the window. Higgsfield's help center says unlimited means generations on listed models do not deduct credits while the access is active, that flagship models can have windows as short as seven days, and that the period runs from activation and does not restart at renewal. Its pricing page adds that unlimited usage may be slowed during busy periods. Starter, the $15 plan, lists no unlimited Kling at all.
After the window, the maths is ordinary. At Plus's monthly price a Higgsfield credit costs 4.9 cents, so a 5-second 720p Kling 3.0 clip at about 7 credits is roughly $0.34, level with Kling Pro. Choose the reseller for the other models on the balance, not for a week of free Kling.
Before you subscribe
- Run a week on the free tier or the cheapest plan and log your tries per usable clip
- Count usable clips per month from your posting schedule, not your ambition
- Decide which clips truly need native audio or 1080p
- Check the generation panel for the credit cost before a long or 4K clip
- Buy monthly first; move to yearly only after two months at steady volume
If you are not ready to pay at all, our guide to making AI influencer videos for free shows what daily free credits elsewhere can cover. When you are, the Kling image-to-video tutorial walks through settings and prompts so fewer credits go to rejected takes.
Credits are the cheap part of a persona. The expensive part is a face that changes between clips, which wastes every plan equally. Our AI Influencers program teaches the character and reference work that brings the retake rate down.
Kling AI pricing: FAQ
How much does Kling AI cost?
Kling has a free Basic plan and four paid plans. On monthly billing, checked October 2026, Standard renews at $8.80 for 660 credits, Pro at $32.56 for 3,000, Premier at $80.96 for 8,000 and Ultra at $159.99 for 26,000. Each has a discounted first month, from $6.99 on Standard to $127.99 on Ultra. Yearly billing runs from $79.20 to $1,429.99.
How many credits does a Kling video cost?
Kling VIDEO 3.0 charges per second. Without native audio it costs 6 credits a second at 720p and 8 at 1080p; with native audio, 9 and 12. A 5-second 720p silent clip is 30 credits and a 10-second 1080p clip with audio is 120. The 4K mode costs 30 credits a second, so 150 credits for five seconds.
Is Kling AI free?
There is a free Basic plan, but it is a trial in practice. Kling's plan table lists it with no monthly credits, 30 elements and output that is not for commercial use. Its FAQ says new users get sign-up credits and returning users can claim a free allowance each month, in an amount it does not publish. 1080p and watermark removal are premium-only.
Do Kling credits expire?
Yes. Kling's Credits Policy says subscription credits are valid for one month from the day they are issued, so an unused balance does not carry into the next cycle. Credits you buy separately last two years. Credits are deducted when you generate and refunded only if the generation fails, so a clip you reject still costs its credits.
Can I buy Kling credits without a subscription?
Yes. The standard top-up price is $1 for 66 credits, about $1.52 per 100, and purchased credits are valid for two years. That is dearer than any plan's rate, and credits alone do not unlock everything: Kling lists 1080p video, watermark removal, fast-track generation and video extension as premium-only functions.
How much does Kling 4.0 cost?
Kling had not published credit costs for Kling 4.0 or Kling 4.0 Flash when we checked on 11 October 2026. Its site said the full model was coming in October, and Flash was in early access for Ultra subscribers billed yearly. Budget on VIDEO 3.0 rates until Kling publishes a 4.0 price, and check the generation panel before you commit to a long clip.
Does Kling have an unlimited plan?
No. Every Kling plan is a monthly credit pool. The "unlimited Kling" offers come from resellers such as Higgsfield, whose Plus and Ultra plans listed Kling 3.0 as "7-day unlimited" in October 2026. Its help center says that window runs from activation, does not restart at renewal, and uses the standard queue. After it ends, each clip costs Higgsfield credits.
A plan buys credits. A pipeline decides how many you waste.
AI Influencers, included in All Access, covers locked persona faces, Kling elements and image-to-video workflows, and voice, so more of each month's credits end up in posts. The other three programs, live coaching and the private community come in the same subscription.
